Pharmapost can be integrated with a pharmacy robot to facilitate distribution to a dispensary workstation at a remote location or on another floor where belt conveyors are impractical. A linear station accepts the package from the robot in an open-end type carrier, moves to the tube connected to the destination, and delivers the package directly to the requested workstation. The pneumatic tube carrier stops just short of the open tube end, allowing the package to slide out onto a cushioned basket or tray.

A pharmacy air tube system can be beneficial to many other healthcare sectors, including optician practices who may also have remote storerooms or workshops on other floors. If a customer requires a simple repair, glasses fit perfectly into a carrier which can be dispatched and returned without the staff leaving the reception desk.
